Pharmaceutical Cleanroom Ceilings

For Pharmaceutical Cleanrooms the requirements are for a flush system, these can be:

Drywall & Epoxy Paint

Advantage is the first Cost.
Disadvantages are:
1. Installation is multi stage, involving the stud system, installation of the Drywall, taping and sanding, and a two part epoxy paint.

2. Dust particles are hard to Cleanup after construction 
3. Drywall is easily damaged exposing the drywall
4. Can be prone to moisture damage, and possibly mould if the water is left on the Drywall

Gel seal t bar pharmaceutical cleanroom ceiling 

Gel Seal T Bar

Advantages:

1. Easy Cleanup as it involves a clean installation
2. Can use various ceiling tile styles, typically Vinyl faced Gypsum or Aluminum faced panels with various core materials

 

Disadvantages are:
1. Labour intensive installation, requiring an interstitial to hang the T Bar from
2. Gel Seal Filters and Lights are expensive at a first cost 


Aluminum Panel System

Advantages:

1. Easy Installation, using large panels
2. Clean look, flush lighting and HEPA Filtration
3. Can be walkable if designed for the weight.
4. Quick one step installation, with Easy Cleanup

Disadvantages are:

1. It is a progressive system, so it is not easy to make changes after installation
2. If a panel is damaged, again it is not easily replaced

Inverted T Bar

Advantages:

1. Easy Installation, using large panels
2. Can be opened for service, changes or to replace damaged panels.
3. Clean look, flush lighting and HEPA Filtration
4. Can incorporate walkable walkways for service
5. Quick one step installation, with Easy Cleanup
6. Can use various ceiling tile styles, typically Vinyl faced Gypsum or Aluminum
faced panels with various core materials

Disadvantages

1. May require an interstitial on a large Cleanroom
